Reimagining Humanitarian Action

Complexity, uncertainty, and disruption calls for an aspirational new approach to reimagining resilience and humanitarian assistance.

We are working collectively to reimagine humanitarian response in ways that recognize our interconnectedness and honour local lived experience. By growing networks of “response-ability,” we create space for new relationships and approaches to resource sharing, knowledge transfer, and collaborative action in an era of cascading global challenges.

IFRC Europe Polycrisis Think-Do Tank

As strategic curation partners with the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies Europe Region, we lead the development of an innovative Polycrisis Think-Do Tank that addresses limitations in traditional humanitarian response models. This collaboration establishes an ecosystem reimagining humanitarian response, connecting humanitarian, philanthropic, and community response networks, building trust and relationships between organisations and enhancing anticipatory capabilities for interconnected crises.

Planetary Peace Architecture

We recognise that effective humanitarian response requires moving beyond isolated interventions to building the relational infrastructure that enables collective resilience and mutual aid. We seek to advance approaches that honour both local wisdom and global cooperation in addressing our interconnected challenges.

Alongside Dark Matter Labs, we have been exploring the option space for “pre-emptive peace”. As traditional conflict resolution collapses, we seek to address the possibilites for collective governance frameworks for “planetary hyperobjects”- river basins, glacial regions, technological networks crossing traditional boundaries and economic models that move wealth from extractive to regenerative structures.
